Getting to Richmond from Central London

It's an easy trip out, honestly the hardest part of your whole day. Message us on WhatsApp and your bike, picnic blanket and cooler box will be waiting right outside the station the moment you step off the train.

Getting Here

By tube: the District line

If you're already on the Underground, this is probably your easiest bet. The District line runs all the way out to Richmond, and it's the end of the line, so there's no risk of missing your stop, just stay on until everyone gets off. Richmond sits in Zone 4, and your contactless card or Oyster works the whole way, same as any other tube trip.

By train: South Western Railway from Waterloo

Starting from Waterloo? South Western Railway runs direct trains to Richmond, and it's about 20 minutes door to door. No changes, no faff, just get on and get off. If you're already south of the river, this is usually your quickest way in.

By London Overground, via Gunnersbury

Coming from North or East London, the Overground will get you there too, with some services connecting through Gunnersbury for the final stretch into Richmond. It's a genuinely nice ride, a good chance to watch the city loosen up into leafy suburbs as you go.

However you make your way here, Richmond sits right on the edge of Zone 4, and contactless works everywhere, so there's no need to sort out tickets in advance. Just tap in and go.

The Moment You Arrive

This is the bit we're proud of.

You step off the train, and instead of hunting around for a hire kiosk or working out where on earth to go, your bike is already there. Helmet, lock, picnic blanket and cooler box included, just waiting for you right outside the station.

Message us on WhatsApp before you set off, and we'll have everything ready for whenever you land. Your day starts the second your feet hit the platform, not twenty minutes later after you've queued.

Once You're Here

How to spend the day

Richmond Park is ten minutes away by bike, deer, ancient oaks, and space to properly stretch your legs. The Thames Path riverside is right there for a wander past the boathouses. Richmond Green is postcard stuff. And if a pint's calling, Twickenham's pubs are an easy pedal over the bridge. Every booking comes with a stop-by-stop itinerary and Google Maps links to our favourite spots, so you're never just guessing where to go next.

A few practical tips

Try to get here reasonably early if you want the full day out of it, Richmond Park especially is worth having proper daylight for. And if you go for the full day hire at £45, there's genuinely no rush: keep the bike as long as you like and bring it back whenever you're done. No clock watching, no planning your day around a return time.
